How The Dark Knight Trilogy Kills DC Movies
Hi, comics and movie lovers.
Now we will discuss why I consider The Dark Knight trilogy to be the cause of the difficulty of DCEU movies to captivate the hearts of the audience. Both DC lovers and new audiences.
It was not realized that 13 years had passed since Batman Begins was released in 2005. So for the newborn in the 2000s, perhaps the Dark Knight Christopher Nolan's trilogy feels it is necessary to be given more references.
X-Men which is a Marvel character that was sold when Marvel experienced financial problems appeared on the big screen in 2000. 20th Century Fox has been the owner of X-Men usage rights since 1994. Many background stories have become inconsequential. The movie is the beginning of the superhero movie trend on the big screen.
True lovers of Marvel comics are spoiled by the appearance of HULK on the big screen in 2003, which was followed by The Incredible Hulk in 2008. Marvel managed to make a bait in each movie by inserting a post-credit scene, which made prospective loyal viewers wait for the next Marvel hero movie. In the post-credit of the Hulk movie scene, Tony Stark aka Ironman appeared to offer help.
In the midst of the vacuum between Hulk and Ironman released in 2008, a TV series appeared which immediately became a boom at that time, the Heroes series in 2006. Only a year since Batman Begins was released. Serial Heroes tells how superhuman live in the real world.
This is the exact same theme as Christopher Nolan's Batman version. In Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, it is told that Batman lived in a realistic world. All the equipment uses the technology that existed at the time, really far from fantasy stories.
Batman in this trilogy is a fighter who can lose, with expensive and sophisticated equipment that can be damaged, and can be hurt and aged. The fighting action which, unfortunately, in my opinion, lacks choreography.
But, that's what happened in reality, right? We more often see fighters in the MMA arena fighting fiercely with emotion, fighting energy and stamina, and forgetting all the martial arts he learned.
The name of the late Heath Ledger became great because of his extraordinary acting as the Joker in The Dark Knight, to the point that I argued, "this is a Joker movie, not a Batman movie!"
In The Dark Knight Rises, we don't see Bane who can become a giant using chemicals like the Batman and Robin movie in 1997. And apparently, all these realistic elements captivate the hearts of all comic lovers both DC and Marvel and even spectators who are not comic lovers.
For true DC lovers, The Dark Knight trilogy is a standard that is difficult to change. To the extent that Superman Returns targeting the women's market is not looked at at all.
They scoffed at Ben Affleck when his name was announced as a new Batman and ridiculed Jared Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad. Not only that, but they also mocked Will Smith as a Dead shot using the visor in the wrong place.
Long story short, DC fans actually have skepticism long before they watch the movie. That's because the realistic image of The Dark Knight Trilogy has already been attached.
Meanwhile, Marvel returned to the big screen with a truly fantasy theme. Starting with The Incredible Hulk and Ironman in 2008, Thor in 2011, and Captain America in 2011. They all gathered at the end of the first phase of the MCU with Avengers in 2012.
So comic lovers who like fantasy themed movies become loyal MCU audience.
In 2013, Man of Steel appeared with a fantasy theme. But the realistic impression that is already attached to the head of Batman's trilogy fans makes this movie less appreciated. Moreover, according to some people, Zack Snyder is a great maker of special effects but is not a good story maker.
In my opinion, I really like Man of Steel and Zack Snyder's Batman version which is portrayed more cruelly. We'll see, because, with the appearance of the Death stroke in the post-credit scene, it looks like this will get better.
I also want to inform you that there will be more superhero stories with realistic settings. That is a combination of Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016) movies. This movie is made by M Night Shyamalan, Glass.

Spoiler Upgrade 2018 in 3 Minutes by ComicWest

Kali ini kita bakal bahas film UPGRADE yang keterangannya bisa lo baca di sini.
Awalnya gw kecewa karena ternyata setting film ini berada di masa depan. Dari trailernya, gw pikir si aktor utama dapat sebuah alat yang tekhnologinya jauh melampaui jaman sekarang. Tapi, kekecewaan gw itu gak lama, karena ternyata filmnya tetap keren walaupun settingnya di masa depan.
Kita mulai dengan perkenalan beberapa tokohnya:
Grey adalah seorang mekanik yang anti tekhnologi, ironisnya dia justru menikah dengan Asha yang bekerja di sebuah perusahaan penyedia tekhnologi canggih bernama Cobolt. Dan, mereka hidup di rumah yang semuanya serba otomatis.
Eron Keen adalah seorang bilioner jenius dan merupakan pemilik perusahaan saingan Cobolt, dan merupakan pembuat STEM, sebuah alat yang bakal ditempel ke badan Grey dan menyembuhkan Grey dari kelumpuhannya.
Cerita dimulai dengan Grey menjual mobil rakitannya ke Eron, dan di rumah Eronlah Grey dan Asha diperkenalkan pada STEM, yang langsung ditanggapi dengan sinis oleh Grey.
Stem adalah sebuah alat yang bisa memperbaiki dan menghubungkan fungsi otak dengan motorik seseorang.
Sepulang dari rumah Eron, mobil Asha yang serba otomatis mendadak hilang kendali, mereka mengalami kecelakaan, dan kemudian diserang oleh sekelompok orang yang membunuh Asha dan menembak Grey hingga lumpuh.
Dalam kedukaannya, Grey menerima tawaran Eron untuk memasangkan STEM ke badannya.
Dengan satu syarat, Grey tidak boleh memberitahu siapapun tentang STEM, karena proses pemasangan STEM pada manusia masih ilegal. Dan apabila Grey melanggar janji, Eron akan mematikan STEM dari jauh, dan Grey akan kembali menjadi lumpuh.
Ternyata, Stem bisa berkomunikasi dengan Grey tanpa sepengetahuan Eron dan mulai memburu para pembunuh istrinya satu persatu. Karena, pihak polisi sepertinya tidak memiliki kemajuan dalam kasus pembunuhan Asha.
Mulai dari sini banyak adegan-adegan lucu karena Grey yang tidak bisa bela diri dan tidak terbiasa dengan kekerasan justru harus membiarkan Stem mengendalikan badannya untuk membantai lawan-lawannya.
Ternyata, para penyerang grey dan Asha memiliki semacam alat seperti Stem di badan mereka, buatan Cobolt, tempat Asha bekerja.
Setelah itu Grey justru jadi sasaran polisi, karena dirinya terus menerus hadir di TKP pembantaian musuh-musuh Grey. Tapi Stem selalu bisa membisikan alibi pada Grey, sehingga sang polisi selalu gagal menjebaknya.
Eron yang mengetahui bahwa Grey muncul di muka umum mengancam akan mematikan Stem. Maka, Stem menyuruh Grey untuk menemui seorang hacker untuk mematikan koneksi Eron dengan Stem.
Hacker itu bernama Jaime yang memiliki tempat tersembunyi dan berisi orang-orang yang bermain VR berhari-hari tanpa henti. Karena menurut Jaime kehidupan virtual tidaklah menyakitkan seperti kehidupan nyata.
Lawan terakhir Grey yaitu penembak Asha, memberitahu bahwa sasaran utamanya adalah Grey, dan Asha hanyalah bonus tambahan.
Dengan bantuan Stem, Grey mendapatkan rekaman pembicaraan yang membuktikan bahwa yang memberikan perintah penyerangan itu adalah Eron.
Grey pun menuju tempat Eron, dan disusul oleh polisi. Saat itulah Eron memberitahu bahwa dirinya justru diperintah oleh Stem, yang sudah mengincar Grey sejak awal. Stem pulalah yang merusak sistem navigasi mobil Asha sehingga mereka mengalami kecelakaan.
Kemudian Stem mengambil alih tubuh Grey sepenuhnya, membunuh sang polisi dan Eron. Kesadaran Grey yang asli ditaruh oleh Stem di dunia virtual yang menurut Stem sempurna untuk Grey, yaitu di mana Grey hanya menganggap semua itu hanya mimpi dan Asha masih hidup.
Begitulah akhir ceritanya!
Nah, bagaimana dengan kalian? Apakah kalian merasa memutuhkan upgrade? Karena kehidupan nyata lebih menyakitkan daripada di kehidupan virtual. Setidaknya, begitulah menurut Stem dan sang hacker, Jaime.
